Dr. Jaimie Shores, M.D., FACS
Dr. Shores specializes in surgery of the hand and upper extremity, peripheral nerve surgery, reconstructive microsurgery and general reconstructive surgery. He is a board-certified Plastic Surgeon who performed a dedicated Hand/Upper Extremity Surgery Fellowship and earned a Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand.
Dr. Shores served as a full-time faculty member for the Departments of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 2011-2024. Additionally, he was the Clinical Director of the Hand and Upper Extremity Transplantation Program and the Director of the Hand Surgery Fellowship Program. In addition to caring for patients, he has also led multi-center clinical trials for the treatment of nerve injuries and participated in basic science peripheral nerve and transplant related laboratory research.
Dr. Shores consults for the hand surgery and peripheral nerve surgery industries and has been involved in basic science and clinical research related to these fields.
In his free time, Dr. Shores enjoys spending time with his wife Darla. They spend their time working in their yard and enjoying nature.
